Abhiram (Abe) Kumar is a Principal based in the New York office, focusing on early-stage investments. He brings a mix of investing and startup operating experience that he hopes to use to partner with ambitious founders to build category-defining companies.
Prior to joining B Capital, Abe was the second business hire at Gather, a virtual office software company where he led growth and go-to-market functions during two years of hypergrowth. He also spent three years as an investor at Capital G, Alphabet’s $7 billion+ investment firm. At Capital G, he invested in early and growth-stage companies in the software, cybersecurity, fintech and healthcare sectors. He also helped launch the firm’s office in India. Prior to Capital G, he was at Evercore where advised clients on mergers and acquisitions.
Abe earned a BS in Finance and Actuarial Science from New York University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He enjoys outdoor activities and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.
