Dr. Andrew (“Andy”) Jackson is a General Partner and Chief AI Officer at B Capital, where he leads the firm’s global artificial intelligence strategy working across investment, portfolio management and operations teams. He is focused on scaling B Capital’s internal proprietary technology platform and advancing AI capabilities throughout the investment lifecycle to enhance sourcing, diligence, knowledge sharing and founder support. Across the portfolio, he supports companies in their AI adoption journeys and helps build innovative AI products, platforms and technologies that drive long-term value creation. He will also provide technology leadership for AI-driven businesses incubated by B Capital.

Andy brings more than 20 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data. Prior to joining B Capital, he served as Chief AI Officer at G42, where he partnered with OpenAI to develop country-specific AI strategies and oversaw governance for Stargate UAE, one of the world’s largest AI infrastructure initiatives. He also founded a regional Microsoft-backed AI Foundation focused on advancing AI governance and best practices. Previously, Andy was the founder and CEO of Inception, an AI lab and G24 company that built the most extensive family of open-source AI models in the MENA region. Earlier in his career, he played a key role in expanding Palantir’s presence across the Middle East.

Andy holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Trinity College Dublin.
