Dr. Lu brings over 27 years of experience in venture, private equity and strategic investment. He has held key roles such as Vice Chairman of China Funds at Siguler Guff, overseeing business development and advising on emerging markets investment strategy. He has also served as the Deputy President and Chief Investment Officer of China Jianyin Investment Limited, the domestic investment arm of China Investment Corporation (CIC).

His leadership extends to various industries, having been Vice President at Alstom (China) Investment, Ford Motor (China) Investment, and Business Development General Manager at Caterpillar (China) Investment.

He has also served as the Deputy President and Chief Investment Officer of China Jianyin Investment Limited, the domestic investment arm of China Investment Corporation (CIC). Prior to that, he was managing director and head of China operations at Climate Change Capital. Dr. Lu has also served as an advisory board member of leading private equity firms’ funds, including Hony Capital, New Horizons, CITIC PE, CICC PE, and Boyu Capital.

Currently, Dr. Lu serves as Chairman of the Board at Air Liquide (China) Holding Company, with a focus on hydrogen and fuel cell investments. His extensive career also includes being an economic advisor in the State Council of China.

Dr. Lu is recognized as an honorary senior research fellow, Director of the Center for Global Climate Innovation and Governance, Chairman of MNC 50 Carbon Neutrality Forum, and Vice President of Beijing Green Finance Association. A prolific author with six published books, he holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
