Ida Girma is a Principal at B Capital, where she focuses on early-stage investments.

Prior to joining the firm, Ida was a private equity investor at TCG and previously worked in consulting at Bain & Company, investment banking at JP Morgan and as an operator at clean energy finance startup Nithio. Earlier in her career, she helped establish the impact investing practice at Arabella Advisors and worked with the United Nations World Food Programme in Ethiopia.

Ida earned her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA magna cum laude from Columbia University. She is based in San Francisco.
