Mr. Lesser serves as Vice Chair, Climate & Sustainability and a Senior Advisor at B Capital. Additionally, Mr. Lesser is Global Chair of BCG and has more than 35 years of experience engaging with CEOs, boards of directors and senior leaders on critical topics, including climate and sustainability.

He served as BCG’s CEO from 2013 to 2021, a period of exceptional growth for the firm and during which he launched the BCG Center for Climate & Sustainability. Mr. Lesser also serves as Chief Advisor to the World Economic Forum’s Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders. Prior to joining BCG, he worked in product development at Procter & Gamble. Mr. Lesser has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan. Mr. Lesser is based in New York.

Rich Lesser is not an employee of B Capital or its affiliates, but rather a BCG employee who acts as an independent senior advisor to B Capital and its executive leadership on certain strategic matters. As one of B Capital’s advisors, Rich is not part of B Capital’s management team, does not manage any B Capital employees, and does not (i) serve on any B Capital fund investment committees nor vote on any specific investment decisions or (ii) otherwise provide investment advice to B Capital on any investment strategy.
