B Capital Group today announced the expansion of its leadership team, hiring Elizabeth Wahab in a new role as Global Chief Operating Officer and Cecilia Kwan as Chief Financial Officer, and naming Ted Hill as Chief Administrative Officer. The firm also elevated General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Mark Cho to Partner.

Ms. Wahab and Ms. Kwan are new hires. Mr. Hill, a General Partner, will also serve as the COO of the Americas. The CFO role was previously held by Virginia Schmitt, who has become a Senior Advisor. The expansion of the operations leadership team underscores B Capital’s commitment to having the right people, systems, processes, and structures to back the most transformational entrepreneurs and scale the next generation of groundbreaking technology companies.

Biographical details on the new hires follow:

• Ms. Wahab is based in New York and is a General Partner. She joins from Cornell Capital, where she served as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Investor Relations. She has more than three decades of experience in private and public investing. Ms. Wahab was previously Head of Investor Relations and Human Resources at Viking Global Investors. She also worked at Goldman Sachs for 15 years, ending her time there as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the Merchant Banking Division
• Ms. Kwan is based in San Francisco and is a Partner. She joins from Vista Equity Partners, where she served as a Senior Vice President helping with the financial operations and reporting of the firm’s private equity funds. She has two decades of private equity, venture capital and hedge fund finance and accounting experience. Ms. Kwan previously spent a decade at Blum Capital Partners, where she served as Chief Financial Officer, and worked prior to that at Ernst & Young and Delphi Ventures
