Karan Mohla is a General Partner at B Capital focused on South and Southeast Asia. Karan has two decades of global experience and nearly 15 years in technology focused venture investing.

Before joining B Capital, Karan was a Partner and Executive Director at Chiratae Ventures (formerly IDG Ventures India), where he invested in leading companies, including FirstCry, Xpressbees, GoodGlam Group, HealthifyMe and CropIn. He has invested in more than 30 companies, with investments ranging from $500k to $10M in sectors including ecommerce, healthcare, SaaS/B2B, logistics, ed-tech, agri-tech and gaming. These companies have cumulatively raised over $1B over their respective lifecycles.

Prior to Chiratae Ventures, Karan worked with QVT Finance LP, a US based hedge fund, and in the technology banking group at Jefferies & Company in Silicon Valley, where he was part of the founding team for the India office.

He was recognized as one of the 40 under 40 leaders by Business World Magazine and one of the 40 under 40 Alternate Investment Professionals by the Indian Association of Alternative Investment Funds (IAAIF).

Karan earned a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an MBA from INSEAD. He is based between Singapore and India.
